Which Hookah Coals Are Best?
Which hookah coals are best? There are many different types of hookah charcoal that you can buy.
Really, you can use any type of basic charcoal from the store. However, you should probably go out and get some good hookah charcoal if your smart. By going to any smoke shop, hookah retail store, or tobacco outlet, you will usually find some sort of hookah coal that is made specifically for smoking hookah. This is the hookah charcoal you should get! Once you find this out, you can then move on to finding the very best hookah coals.
So which hookah coals are best?Well, first lets outline the different types of hookah coals that you can buy. There are two different types of hookah coals - natural coals, and quick light coals. Both of these types of coals are good choice, but have some pros and cons: First, the quick light coals (also called puck coals) can light by themselves with the flick of a regular lighter. Also, they will light in less than a minute, and you are ready to smoke.
Some cons would be the taste of the charcoal at the beginning (some really cheap coals have a harsh taste at the beginning when starting the hookah). These coals also burn quicker, and you might have to use multiple coals - it's a good thing these break up easy! Next are the natural coals. These coals are usually lit by stove top, but can be lit by a torch light of some sort (it would be pretty difficult to light these with a simple lighter).
The other great thing about these coals is that there usually isn't much of a harsh coal taste in your mouth, as these burn naturally - just make sure they are lit, and throw them on the top of your foil.
First off, I would definitely go for natural hookah charcoal if I want quality hookah smoking. For natural hookah coals, there are many different kinds you can get. There are asian style coals, square coals, rounded coals, charcoal that you can break off, and much more!So what's the best? By far the best natural charcoal I would recommend would be the Exotica coals. You can light these with either a torch lighter or stove top, and there is no bad coal taste at all! They also burn for a very long time!, and don't let off too much ash (as some quick-light coals will do). (You can buy these coals at www.whookahs.com for a cheaper price than you pay at most smoke shops and retailers!
